This was a special build for us by Jemak Firearms. Based off the Yugoslavian RPK variant designated as the M72B1 (for stamped variants), we wanted our own little twist.
The rifle was built using a standard Zastava M72B1 parts kit on a Childers receiver. It features a U.S. made 4150 nitrided heavy barrel chambered in 7.62x39mm based off the M72, which features a finned cooling section just in front of the handguards. The original barrel length was 21.5″ inches, but to cut down on wait and to make it more of a carbine, we had it turned down to 16″. The front sight features a flip-up night sight with a new tritium vial installed, and a standard RPK rear sight with windage adjustment. Jemak Firearms beautifully refinished the wooden furniture and finished the rifle with graphite black cerakote, filling in the rear sight leaf along with Zastava manufacturer markings with gold cerakote. The fire control group is a polished U.S. made single hook Tapco G2 trigger group.
Ships with one 30 round Magpul PMAG (where applicable).
